Online Store: Preorders open, migrating shop, upcoming conventions
Post-SMASH update, INTL Preorders now open, Plans for rest of 2023
Post-Con Status:
It was a pleasure to meet everyone at my “annual” live appearance!
While Syd SMASH! Con wrapped up wonderfully, it was at the major cost of my health, so resumption of online store operation was delayed by 3-4 weeks.
All prior preorders from the Albedo enamel pin run should’ve been fulfilled around 16th July, and there should be 0 orders pending from Storenvy shopfront.
If you’ve yet to receive any tracking numbers or order-processed emails, please contact silyue via email asap!
Shop migration:
Due to a recent change in Storenvy’s shipping/postage calculator, we’ve been forced to migrate ecommerce platforms to prevent shipping overcharges or paying postage out of pocket.
This was a challenging turn of events, and one which we’ve yet to fully resolve, as the cost and logistics of operations for alternative platforms aren’t friendly for small businesses with inconsistent shop openings.
We have opted to trial operations through BigCartel as a temporary solution since there are upcoming events to stock-up for, and preorders are an essential part of funding future productions.
For this opening, we will be testing the waters with an extremely small catalogue of preorder items.
We do not know when and where we'd migrate to for future shop operations as many online stores require a hefty subscription model, but if BigCartel successfully fulfills this round, we'll look to continue operations here and re-introduce the remainder of the catalogue.
